Telma D tablet belongs to the group of medications called antihypertensives. It contains a combination of two medications, Telmisartan and Indapamide, which control blood pressure when a single medication is ineffective. It is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a medical condition in which blood exerts a force on the artery walls (blood vessels), resulting in heart disease, irregular heartbeat, and other problems. Nausea, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, weakness, stomach pain, constipation, infection, nose inflammation, chest pain, back pain, indigestion, nervousness, peripheral edema, sore throat, and cough are the common side effects of Telma D tablet. Inform your healthcare provider if these side effects disturb or persist in you. Before treatment with Telma D tablet, let your physician know if you are experiencing any allergic reaction to Telmisartan or Indapamide and its ingredients. Report to your physician if you have kidney or severe liver diseases, heart rhythm problems, vision problems or eye pain, muscle disorders, a low potassium level (hypokalemia), blood pressure, and the number of electrolytes (potassium) in your blood at regular intervals. It is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
