Addkay 750mg tablet contains an active ingredient called Potassium Chloride, which belongs to the group of medicines called electrolyte replacement solutions. Electrolytes are a collection of chemicals and salts found in bodily fluids. It is used to treat and prevent low levels of potassium in the blood, known as hypokalemia. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to Potassium Chloride or any of its ingredients. Do not use this medicine if you have kidney failure, severe or prolonged diarrhea, untreated Addison's syndrome, hypo-aldosteronism, narrowing in the food pipe, stomach, or gut (stricture), conditions like trauma, burns, muscle cramps, or metabolic complications after cancer treatment. Avoid consuming this medicine if you have metabolic acidosis, difficulty eliminating potassium from the body, high blood potassium level, hyperkalemic periodic paralysis. Do not take this medicine if you are taking potassium-sparing diuretics (e.g., spironolactone, triamterene, or amiloride), or having difficulty in tolerating or digesting sugars. This tablet contains sucrose, a type of sugar. If any of these conditions apply to you, avoid taking this medicine. It is essential to consult your doctor for suitable alternatives. Before starting the treatment with Addkay 750mg tablet, notify your doctor if you have had any surgery in or near your stomach or gut, such as colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy. Additionally, disclose any kidney, liver, or heart problems, as well as any history of stomach ulcers. Before starting consuming Addkay 750mg tablet, notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding.
