O comprimido Lazon 2.5mg contém um princípio ativo chamado metolazona, que pertence ao grupo de medicamentos denominados diuréticos tiazídicos. É usado para tratar a retenção de líquidos (edema) associada a problemas cardíacos e renais, promovendo o fluxo de urina. Também é usado para tratar a pressão alta, isoladamente ou em combinação com outros medicamentos. Não use o comprimido Lazon 2.5mg se você for alérgico à metolazona, aos tiazídicos, às sulfonamidas ou a qualquer um de seus componentes. Não use este medicamento se você não conseguir urinar, se estiver em coma ou em estado comatoso devido a cirrose hepática, ou se tiver desequilíbrios graves de sais ou substâncias químicas no sangue. Antes de começar a tomar o medicamento, fale com seu médico se você tiver doença renal ou hepática grave, for idoso, tiver desequilíbrios de líquidos ou eletrólitos, ou sofrer de doença de Addison, diabetes, gota ou lúpus eritematoso sistêmico. Avise seu médico se você tiver porfiria, colesterol alto ou histórico de alergia à penicilina ou às sulfonamidas. O comprimido Lazon 2.5mg contém lactose; portanto, se você tiver intolerância à galactose, deficiência total de lactase ou má absorção de glicose-galactose, recomenda-se evitá-lo. Pode ser necessário um acompanhamento regular para certas condições. Este medicamento não é recomendado para crianças menores de 18 anos e deve ser usado com cautela em pacientes idosos.
