Trelegy Ellipta inhaler is a combination of three active drugs Fluticasone Furoate + Umeclidinium + Vilanterol. It is used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness in adults. It is also indicated to reduce the worsening of COPD in patients with a history of severe breathing symptoms. Fluticasone belongs to the group of drugs known as Corticosteroids. Umeclidinium is in a class of medication called anticholinergics. Vilanterol belongs to a group of drugs known as long-acting beta-agonists (LABAs). The combination of fluticasone, umeclidinium, and vilanterol eases breathing by relaxing and opening airways in the lungs. Trelegy Ellipta Inhaler comes as a powder to inhale by mouth using an inhaler. This medicine should be used regularly as per your doctor's advice. Do not use this if you are allergic to Fluticasone Furoate+Umeclidinium+Vilanterol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or respiratory problems before starting the treatment. Report to the physician immediately if you have any symptoms of pneumonia or other respiratory disorders after using this medicine. This medicine is not recommended for children or adolescents below the age of 18 years. The most frequent adverse effect of the Trelegy Ellipta inhaler is common cold. Along with this, you could also experience headaches, a cough, a clogged nose, a fungal infection of the mouth, and an infection of the nose. Inform your doctor if any of these adverse effects last longer than expected or develop worse.

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient

FLUTICASONE FUROATE,UMECLIDINIUM,VILANTEROL

Uses

• Trelegy Ellipta inhaler is approved for long-term maintenance therapy of airflow restriction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema.
• It is also indicated to reduce the worsening of COPD in patients with a history of severe breathing difficulty symptoms.

Benefits

The Trelegy Ellipta inhaler contains fluticasone furoate, a corticosteroid, umeclidinium, an anticholinergic, and vilanterol, a long-acting beta(2)-agonist. Fluticasone furoate inhibits pro-inflammatory signaling molecules by activating the steroid response element and prevents lung airway inflammation brought on by exposure to antigens. Umeclidinium inhibits certain receptors in the smooth muscles of the airway, leading to the dilation of bronchi and bronchioles. Vilanterol increases certain messenger levels in our body, which causes the bronchial smooth muscles to relax.
