Shingrix vaccine 0.5ml contains live attenuated Varicella-zoster virus (VZV) as an active component. Vaccine Shingrix belongs to a group of live attenuated vaccines. It is used to prevent shingles (herpes zoster) and zoster-related post-herpetic neuralgia (the long-lasting nerve pain that follows shingles). Individuals 50 years old or above can get their vaccination against zoster. Herpes zoster, or shingles, is caused by the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), which causes chickenpox in individuals when it affects them for the first time (primary infection). Post-herpetic neuralgia is a condition in which an individual experiences pain for more than a month or years after being affected by shingles. The Shingrix Injection is not intended to treat or prevent primary varicella infection (chicken pox). Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the vaccines, sodium or potassium, or any of the ingredients in them. Inform your doctor if you have cancer, a blood disorder, or a weak immune system (HIV) before using the medicine. The safety and effectiveness of the drug for children below 18 years have yet to be established. Consult your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant or while you are breastfeeding.
