L’injection Cafirate 20mg 1ml contient le principe actif caféine, qui appartient au groupe des médicaments appelés stimulants du système nerveux central. Elle est utilisée dans le traitement de l’apnée du prématuré. Elle peut être avalée par la bouche ou administrée par biberon. L’apnée du prématuré est une affection des bébés prématurés caractérisée par un arrêt de la respiration pendant environ 20 secondes, accompagné d’un ralentissement du rythme cardiaque et d’un apport insuffisant en oxygène aux tissus.
