Sulbamed 2mg injection contains an active component of Sulbactum sodium. It is a semi-synthetic beta-lactamase inhibitor antibiotic. It has good inhibitory activity against beta-lactamase enzyme-producing bacteria. Hence, it is most commonly used with other antibiotics to treat various drug-resistant bacteria. However, Sulbamed 2mg injection alone has a direct antimicrobial activity against the Acinetobacter species, Bacteroides fragilis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Neisseria meningitidis. Do not take this Sulbamed 2 Injection if you are allergic to penicillin or other antibiotics. Avoid this medication if you are affected by mononucleosis (a viral infection). Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD) is the most common side effect reported during this treatment.
