The Pentaxim vaccine contains an acellular or inactivated diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, poliomyelitis, and Haemophilus type b conjugate as an active component. It is a vaccine that helps protect your child against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Poliomyelitis, and Haemophilus influenzae type B infections. It can give protection to children from the age of 2 months, or it can be administered based on the recommended immunization schedule/guidelines provided by healthcare professionals. The Pentaxim vaccine does not protect against infections caused by Haemophilus influenzae types other than type b, nor does it protect against meningitis caused by other organisms.
