Lyozone 3gm Injection contains two active ingredients in one injection. One of the active substances is Cefoperazone, which belongs to the group of medications called third-generation cephalosporin antibiotics. The other active substance is Sulbactam, which belongs to the group of medications called beta-lactamase inhibitors. This combination is effective against a wide range of bacteria, and this drug is commonly used to treat serious infections such as urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, meningitis, skin infections, bone infections, and endometritis. Lyozone 3gm Injection is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to it or its components. Report to your physician if you are allergic to any antibiotic group. Consumption of alcohol (including alcoholic beverages, medications containing alcohol, mouthwashes, or food preparations) during and up to the fifth day after Lyozone 3gm Injection administration can result in a disulfiram-like reaction. This reaction can cause flushing, sweating, headache, and an increased heart rate. It is important to avoid alcohol during this period. Notify your doctor if you have severe or bloody stools while taking Lyozone 3gm Injection. Before taking this medicine, talk to your doctor if you have liver disorders, bowel diseases, or clotting disorders. This drug should be taken only if it is necessary during pregnancy. As this medicine passes poorly into the breast milk of nursing mothers, caution should be exercised during breastfeeding. It is essential to consult with your physician for more advice.
