Fonaxel 2.5mg Injection

Fonaxel 2.5mg injection contains an active component called fondaparinux sodium. It is a medication used to prevent and treat blood clots. It  is often given to patients who are at risk of developing deep vein thrombosis, such as those undergoing surgery or immobilized for extended periods. It can also be used to prevent pulmonary embolism, which can occur when a blood clot in the legs or elsewhere travels to the lungs. It is used as part of the treatment regimen for established deep vein thrombosis. It  may be combined with other medications to manage acute coronary syndromes, which are conditions caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. Individuals who have a known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to fondaparinux sodium or any of its components should not use this medication. It should not be used in patients with active bleeding disorders, including gastrointestinal bleeding, intracranial bleeding, or any other severe bleeding episode. Individuals with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min) should not use this medication due to the risk of accumulation and increased bleeding. It is generally not recommended for individuals with bacterial endocarditis, a serious heart infection, as it may not effectively prevent clots in this condition. It should be used cautiously in individuals with a history of ulcerative gastrointestinal disease or other conditions that may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Patients with severe hypertension may need careful monitoring and potential adjustment of their anticoagulant therapy. It  is generally not recommended for use in children and adolescents due to limited safety and efficacy data in this age group. Fonaxel 2.5mg injection can be used in elderly patients, but caution is advised, as age-related changes in kidney function may affect drug clearance.
