Fc-Iro 1000mg inyección contiene la sustancia activa Ferric carboxymaltose. Pertenece al grupo de medicamentos llamados productos de reposición de hierro. Se utiliza para tratar la anemia por deficiencia de hierro (disminución de glóbulos rojos debida a niveles bajos de hierro en el organismo) en pacientes adultos y pediátricos que no toleran el hierro por vía oral o cuando los suplementos de hierro orales no son eficaces. También está indicado para tratar la anemia por deficiencia de hierro en adultos con enfermedad renal crónica que no reciben diálisis. Este medicamento no se recomienda en pacientes pediátricos menores de un año. No tome este medicamento si es alérgico a Ferric carboxymaltose o a cualquiera de los demás componentes de este medicamento. No reciba Fc-Iro 1000mg inyección si padece anemia no causada por deficiencia de hierro, sobrecarga de hierro (exceso de hierro en el organismo) o dificultades en el uso del hierro. Informe a su médico si padece artritis reumatoide, asma grave, eccema, infección, trastornos hepáticos o niveles bajos de fosfato en sangre. La administración incorrecta de esta inyección puede causar irritación y decoloración duradera en el lugar de administración. Informe a su médico si está embarazada o da el pecho antes de iniciar el tratamiento con Fc-Iro 1000mg inyección. Los efectos secundarios más comunes son náuseas, hipertensión, rubor, reacciones en el lugar de la inyección, reacciones cutáneas, vómitos y mareo. Informe a su médico si ha sufrido reacciones alérgicas (hipersensibilidad) graves a otras preparaciones de hierro inyectables.
