Fasvivo 250mg injection contiene la sustancia activa fulvestrant. Es un fármaco antineoplásico que pertenece a la clase de los antagonistas del receptor de estrógenos. Los estrógenos, un tipo de hormona sexual femenina, pueden intervenir a veces en el crecimiento del cáncer de mama. Este medicamento se utiliza en monoterapia para tratar a mujeres posmenopáusicas con un tipo de cáncer de mama denominado cáncer de mama positivo para receptores de estrógenos, localmente avanzado o diseminado a otras partes del cuerpo. También está indicado en combinación con otros medicamentos anticancerosos para tratar a mujeres con ciertos tipos de cáncer de mama denominados cáncer de mama positivo para receptores hormonales y negativo para el receptor 2 del factor de crecimiento epidérmico humano, localmente avanzado o diseminado a otras partes del cuerpo.
