Targocid 200mg injection contains the active substance Teicoplanin. It is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of medications called glycopeptide. It is used in adults and children to treat bacterial infections of soft tissues, lungs, urinary tract, endocarditis, abdominal wall, blood, bones, and joints. It works by killing the bacteria that cause infections in the body. Do not use Targocid 200mg injection if you are allergic to Teicoplanin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Inform your physician if you have flushing of the upper part of your body, a decrease in platelet count, kidney problems, and liver problems. Notify your doctor if you have allergic to an antibiotic called vancomycin. This medicine can cause serious rash or other skin symptoms.
