يحتوي قرص Lazon 2.5mg على مادة فعالة تسمى Metolazone، وهي تنتمي إلى مجموعة من الأدوية تسمى مدرات البول من فئة الثيازيد. يُستخدم لعلاج احتباس السوائل (الوذمة) المرتبطة بأمراض القلب والكلى عن طريق تعزيز تدفق البول. كما يُستخدم لعلاج ارتفاع ضغط الدم، إما بمفرده أو بالاشتراك مع أدوية أخرى. لا تستخدم قرص Lazon 2.5mg إذا كنت تعاني من حساسية تجاه Metolazone أو الثيازيدات أو السلفوناميدات أو أي من مكوناته. لا تستخدم هذا الدواء إذا كنت غير قادر على التبول، أو تعاني من الغيبوبة أو حالات شبيهة بالغيبوبة بسبب تشمع الكبد، أو لديك اختلالات شديدة في الأملاح أو المواد الكيميائية في الدم. قبل البدء في تناول الدواء، أخبر طبيبك إذا كنت تعاني من مرض شديد في الكلى أو الكبد، أو كنت مسنًا، أو لديك اختلالات في السوائل أو الإلكتروليتات، أو كنت تعاني من مرض أديسون أو السكري أو النقرس أو الذئبة الحمامية الجهازية. أخبر طبيبك إذا كنت تعاني من البورفيريا أو ارتفاع الكوليسترول، أو لديك تاريخ من الحساسية للبنسيلين أو السلفوناميدات. يحتوي قرص Lazon 2.5mg على اللاكتوز، لذلك إذا كنت تعاني من عدم تحمل الجالاكتوز أو نقص اللاكتيز الكلي أو سوء امتصاص الجلوكوز والجالاكتوز، يُنصح بتجنبه. قد تكون المراقبة المنتظمة ضرورية لبعض الحالات. لا يُوصى بهذا الدواء للأطفال دون سن 18 عامًا، ويجب استخدامه بحذر لدى المرضى المسنين.
