Emclean shampoo contains active components called Ketoconazole and Zinc pyrithione. It treats and prevents severe dandruff and scalp infections, such as seborrheic dermatitis(a common skin condition that causes redness, scaling, and itching on the scalp). It can help to reduce inflammation and irritation on the scalp. This medication is also used to treat Tinea capitis (scalp ringworm) and other scalp infections caused by yeast or bacteria. It can help to control the growth of yeast and bacteria on the scalp. It should not be used in people allergic to Ketoconazole + Zinc pyrithione or any of its ingredients. It should also be used cautiously in people with conditions like scalp eczema, psoriasis, and other inflammatory skin conditions. If you have any open wounds or cuts on your scalp, avoid using them until they have healed. People with a history of liver disease should avoid using it or use it with caution under the supervision of a doctor. Emclean shampoo  is not recommended for children under two years of age as its safety and efficacy in children under this age have not been established. It is generally safe for use in older adults.
