Tromlieva 50mg Tablet 7'S is an anticoagulant drug belonging to the thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist category, containing the active ingredient Eltrombopag. It is used to treat low platelet counts caused by primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C (HCV) infection. ITP is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system destroys platelets, which are blood cells essential for clotting and protecting blood vessel walls. Low platelet levels can lead to severe bleeding and bruising. This tablet is also indicated for treating adults with severe aplastic anemia, a serious condition where the bone marrow fails to produce sufficient new blood cells. This drug should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to the medication or its components. Allergic reactions can range from mild to severe and include symptoms like rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing.
