Tafamidis.NPP is a medication that contains the active ingredient Tafamidis. It is primarily used to treat transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), a rare and progressive condition that affects the heart. In this disease, abnormal deposits of a protein called transthyretin (TTR) accumulate in the heart tissue, leading to thickening and stiffening of the heart muscles, which can result in heart failure. Tafamidis.NPP works by stabilizing the transthyretin protein and preventing it from breaking apart and forming amyloid deposits. This medication is typically prescribed to adults diagnosed with wild-type or hereditary ATTR-CM. By slowing disease progression, Tafamidis.NPP can help improve quality of life and reduce hospitalizations due to heart-related complications.

Tafamidis.NPP helps to stabilize the transthyretin protein and prevent it from breaking apart and forming amyloid fibrils.
