Urimax 0.4mg Capsule contains Tamsulosin, a medicine that belongs to a class of drugs called alpha-adrenergic blockers. It is mainly prescribed to men for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate. This condition can cause uncomfortable urinary symptoms such as difficulty passing urine, weak urine stream, or frequent urge to urinate, especially at night. Urimax works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate and relieving the symptoms of BPH. However, it does not shrink the prostate gland.
