Magaldrate neutralizes excess stomach acid, while Dimethicone reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles, making it easier to release gas through burping or passing gas. Additionally, Dimethicone prevents the buildup and gas formation in the digestive system. Rantac MPS Syrup should not be consumed if you are allergic to Megaldrate, Dimethicone, or any of the ingredients in the medication.
