Mapsepicin 50mg Injection contains Epirubicin Hydrochloride, a chemotherapy drug from the anthracycline class. It is commonly used as part of combination therapy after surgery for breast cancer, to reduce the risk of recurrence. It is also effective in treating other cancers, including those of the ovaries, stomach, intestines, lungs, and certain blood-related cancers such as leukaemias, lymphomas, and multiple myeloma. This injection should not be used if you are allergic to Epirubicin, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have serious liver or bladder problems. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver issues, a recent vaccination, or conditions such as low blood cell counts, mouth sores, or ongoing infections. This medicine may also raise the risk of blood clots and can affect fertility in both men and women. Effective birth control is advised during treatment. Common side effects include low white blood cell or platelet counts, irregular menstruation, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, skin rashes, itching, or eye infections. Your doctor will monitor your health with regular blood tests to manage and minimize side effects during treatment. Always report any unusual symptoms or side effects promptly.
