How To Use

Truvada Tablet can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or open the tablet. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed dose.

Safety Advice

• Alcohol: It is generally not recommended to drink alcohol while taking Truvada Tablet. It may increase the risk of liver damage. it is best to avoid alcohol or limit your alcohol consumption while taking any medication.
• Kidney: Truvada Tablet should be modified in HIV-infected adult patients with creatinine clearance of 30–49 mL/min. Truvada Tablet should not be used in patients with creatinine clearance below 30 mL/min and in patients with end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis.
• Breastfeeding: Truvada Tablet may pass into human milk. There is insufficient information on the effects of Truvada Tablet in newborns/infants. The use of Truvada Tablet should not be used during breastfeeding.
• Liver: Truvada Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Truvada Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
