MaxSil Oral Suspension

MaxSil Oral Suspension contains an active component as Sildenafil. This medication treats pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in adults and children. PAH is characterised by high blood pressure in the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs. This medication is part of a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) inhibitors, which also includes medications like Viagra (sildenafil) for erectile dysfunction.  People with PAH often experience shortness of breath and reduced exercise capacity due to the increased pressure in their pulmonary arteries. MaxSil Oral Suspensions can improve exercise capacity by easing the strain on the heart and lungs, allowing patients to engage in physical activities with less difficulty. PAH is a chronic condition that can significantly impact a person's daily life and well-being. By managing the symptoms and progression of the disease, this medication can contribute to an improved quality of life for individuals with PAH. It is one of the few medications approved for treating pediatric PAH, making it an important option for children with this condition. MaxSil Oral Suspension can cause a temporary decrease in blood pressure, especially when taken with other medications that lower blood pressure or in individuals with underlying low blood pressure. Caution should be exercised when using in patients with hypotension. It is crucial to inform the healthcare provider about any pre-existing heart conditions before starting treatment. Patients with severe liver or kidney impairment may require dose adjustments or careful monitoring while taking it. MaxSil Oral Suspension should not be used concomitantly with nitrates (nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate) or any other medications containing nitric oxide donors. The combination can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
