Dapefy M 5mg/1000mg tablet contains the active ingredient Dapagliflozin + Metformin. It is an anti-diabetic drug. Dapagliflozin belongs to the group of medications called sodium-glucose co-transporter. Metformin belongs to the class of medications called biguanides. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients aged 18 years and older. This combination of medicines is taken by mouth (orally). Dapefy M 5mg/1000mg tablet is always taken in combination with diet and exercise. Your doctor may prescribe this medicine with other anti-diabetic medications when your blood sugar is high and uncontrolled. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Dapagliflozin, Metformin, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Do not take this tablet if you have ever had a diabetic coma, severely reduced kidney function, severe infection, or liver problems. Inform your doctor immediately if you have vomiting, stomach ache, muscle cramps, severe tiredness, difficulty in breathing, reduced body temperature, and heartbeat after taking this medicine.
