Lazid N Tablet is a powerful combination therapy designed to combat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, incorporating the active ingredients lamivudine, zidovudine, and nevirapine. This medication is suitable for both adults and children weighing over 30 kg, and it plays a crucial role in managing HIV, thereby reducing the risk of progression to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). By inhibiting viral replication, Lazid N helps maintain immune function and supports overall health in individuals living with HIV. It is important to adhere to prescribed dosages and consult your healthcare provider regarding any potential side effects or interactions with other medications. Regular monitoring and follow-ups are essential to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. As with any antiretroviral therapy, it’s crucial to maintain a consistent regimen for maximum effectiveness. Always discuss your medical history with your doctor before starting Lazid N to ensure it’s the right choice for your treatment plan. With effective management, individuals can lead healthier lives despite an HIV diagnosis.
Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient
Uses
• HIV-1 Infection
Benefits
Lazid N Tablet is a combination of three antiretroviral medicines. Lamivudine and Zidovudine work by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme of HIV, restricting viral genome replication, and reducing the production of new infectious viral particles. It mainly interferes with reverse transcription and inhibits the spread of HIV. Nevirapine directly binds to reverse transcriptase (RT) and blocks RNA-dependent and DNA-dependent polymerase activities by disrupting the enzyme.
