Taxim O 200mg tablet contains the active ingredient cefixime. It belongs to the group of antibiotic medications called cephalosporin antibiotics. It is indicated to treat bacterial infections of the nose, ear, sinuses (sinusitis), throat, chest, lungs, and urinary tract. A bacterial infection refers to the growth of numerous harmful strains of bacteria in the body. It can affect any part of the body. The common side effects that are likely to associate with Taxim O 200mg tablet are nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, indigestion (dyspepsia), headache, dizziness, and itching of the genital or vaginal area. Report to your doctor if any of these side effects disturb or persist in you. It is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Report to your physician immediately if you have allergic reactions to Cefixime, other cephalosporin antibiotics, including penicillin, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
